Why Come to Therapy?
Often, the impulse to begin therapy comes from within – a feeling that it’s time to seek new perspectives or a deeper connection with yourself. Sometimes there is a specific issue that has been troubling you for a long time without resolution. Other times, it may be anxiety, depression, loneliness, or another feeling that interferes with daily life.
Sometimes, just having another perspective or support can bring clarity. If you feel stuck or find it difficult to make sense of certain experiences or emotions, professional help may be exactly what you need.
When to Start Therapy?
Come to therapy when you are ready to open up and explore your inner world. This also means being willing to continue the work outside the therapy room, in your everyday life.
Come if you feel the need to talk to someone because you’re stuck in a cycle and want to see things more clearly.
How to Choose the Right Therapist?
Listen to your intuition. The most important thing is that you feel safe and can trust your therapist. You may also consider the therapist’s methods and approach, but above all, choose someone with whom you feel seen, heard, and supported.
Can I Change My Therapist?
Yes. You can always change therapists if you feel the cooperation isn’t working or something doesn’t feel right. The only exception is the Holistic Regression “set of four” process, which must be completed with the same therapist once started.
Do I Need a Specific Problem?
No. You can come to therapy with confusion, dissatisfaction, or a general sense of unease. Even if life looks fine on the outside, therapy can offer growth, self-discovery, and new challenges.
What if I Feel Something Is Wrong but Don’t Know What?
That’s exactly what therapy is for. Together we move step by step through different layers and themes until clarity and relief emerge. Often, a single feeling or symptom may have several underlying unresolved causes.
What Does the Therapist Do?
At the beginning of the session, I get to know your story and the topic you bring. Then I use conversation techniques and/or other tools to help you move toward your goals. Nothing happens without your consent – you set the pace.
What to Expect from a Therapy Session?
A therapy session is a journey of self-discovery. Nothing will happen that isn’t for your benefit and growth. What matters most is that you feel safe, supported, and free to be yourself.
How Long Is a Session?
The length depends on your story and needs. Sessions usually last between 1.5 and 3 hours. If at any time you feel you want to end the session earlier, you are always free to do so.
How Confidential Is Therapy?
Confidentiality is one of the foundations of therapy. Everything you share stays between us. Only in a safe and trusting environment can true change and healing take place.
How Should I Come to a Session?
Come just as you are. You may feel happy or sad, you may cry or feel anger. Honesty and openness are the greatest gifts you can bring to yourself in therapy – and they are what make the process most effective.
Where Do Sessions Take Place?
Therapy sessions are held at Armastusetee Therapy Room:
Jalgpalli 1, 7th floor, Tallinn.
By prior agreement, sessions can also be held online.
