My Therapeutic Work
I believe that change begins with becoming aware of our inner world—learning to notice and understand our emotions, needs, bodily responses, and recurring relationship and behavioural patterns.
The most important foundation of my work is creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I am guided by your individual needs and by the changes you wish to make in your life or relationships. I do not offer ready-made answers; instead, I help you understand yourself more deeply, explore the deeper layers of your experience, and find ways forward that feel right for you.
I see each person as a whole because our emotional, physical, relational, and sexual worlds are closely interconnected. Long-suppressed emotions, stress, and painful life experiences can affect both our mental and physical well-being. In therapy, we can explore the messages your body may be carrying and how your emotions, experiences, and bodily responses are connected.
My Therapeutic Approaches
I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches and choose ways of working according to what will best support you or your relationship:
individual therapy;
couples therapy;
family therapy;
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT);
sex therapy;
trauma therapy;
body psychotherapy (currently in training);
body- and experience-based therapeutic techniques.
Therapy may support you if…
you experience difficulties in your relationship with your partner, parents, children, or other people close to you;
your relationship is affected by recurring conflict, emotional distance, silence, or loneliness;
you wish to understand your emotions, needs, and reactions more deeply;
you notice recurring patterns in your life or relationships that you would like to change;
you experience anxiety, fear, inner tension, or emotional overwhelm;
you have been through traumatic or painful experiences;
you feel that you are losing your joy in life, self-confidence, or connection with yourself;
you are facing a crisis, loss, or major life transition;
you wish to create greater closeness, trust, and emotional safety in your relationships;
you wish to reconnect with your body, sexuality, and vitality;
you have questions or difficulties related to intimacy or sexuality;
you experience physical tension or discomfort that may be connected to stress or emotional experiences.
The Goals, Duration, and Frequency of Therapy
Before your first session, you may wish to take a moment to consider what you hope to gain from therapy and what kind of change you would like to see in your life or relationships. You do not need to be able to express this clearly straight away—we can explore your needs and clarify the goals of therapy together during the first sessions.
The duration and frequency of therapy depend on your situation, needs, and goals. During our first session, we will discuss what kind of arrangement may support you best. Sessions usually take place every two to four weeks. During a crisis or a particularly challenging period, sessions may also be held once a week.
For meaningful and lasting results, I recommend attending at least five consecutive sessions whenever possible. A consistent therapeutic process allows time for a trusting relationship to develop, important issues to be explored, and changes to take deeper root.
Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. All sessions are confidential. If you have a health condition or any other circumstances that may be relevant to the therapeutic process, please let me know before the session.
🌿 Sessions take place at the Armastusetee therapy practice at Jalgpalli 1, Tallinn.
🌿 Online sessions are also available by prior arrangement.
You do not have to work through everything alone. As your therapist, I will be by your side, and we will move forward together at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
